Amazing 2025

I Love the start of a new year!

It has always made me feel like there are a ton of possibilities. Like the future can be whatever I can make it.

This energy is so exciting, a do over, fresh start, a clean slate.

I confess I like new year resolutions. I know, I can almost feel the eye rolls. I'm not saying I am great at always keeping them. I get sidetracked, busy, a little lazy and let them slide just like most people. But if you never even start by making a new commitment, how will you ever expect to accomplish those things that you really have been wanting to do?

Start with the trifecta - Mind, Body and Spirit.

You have to start with the mind.

After all, if you don't tell yourself to do something you will never do it right? Your mind holds all the control and making the decision is a big and important step.

So now that you have made a decision for the new year you have to honor it. Have your own back and show yourself that you can do hard things. You can count on yourself to follow through.

BODY

The body is where most people want to make a change or commitment in the new year. Are you wanting to losing weight, get stronger or have better health?

I always start with some basics and ask myself "where can I get some more exercise"? That may be some form of activity that I enjoy like walking, swimming, pickleball or yoga. It may also incorporate something I know I need more of like cardio, balance or weight training. Finding a balance between what I "need" and what I "enjoy" is the sweet spot.

What is the combination that works for you?

Once you have found what you want to do to take care of the outside of your body you also need to consider the inside.

This is just as, if not more, important in my opinion. Giving your body proper fuel and nutrients to heal and thrive is a must.

You may think this is too hard or you don't know where to start.

Start by honoring your body

You only get one body, and it is yours till the end. You may be thinking that your body is a mess and breaking down. But I encourage you to start thinking a bit differently about your body.

Your body, everyone's body, is amazing. Your heart beats and your lungs bring in air. Your bones and muscles allow you to move. When you are injured your body can heal.

Maybe you are not in love with your body, but can you like it? Can you recognize all that it does?

It's easy to take your body for granted, not thinking about what you are putting into it.

Diet is so important and can be so powerful. I'm not talking just about losing weight, but about what you put into your body and how it effects it both good and bad. Unfortunately, we don't always think about it until something goes wrong.

So many people are living with metabolic disease and chronic health conditions. These can really drag you down and take away your drive and ambition. You just don't understand how you got to this point or how to make it better. Maybe this is you or someone you love.

If so, honoring your body this new year needs to start with appreciating all that your body does for you and feeding it (literally) what it needs so it can heal and be at its best for you.

Giving your body what it needs nutritionally is the key.

If what you have been doing so far isn't working, or you just don't know where to start, reach out to me and let me tell you how I can help.

This brings us to the last category,

SPIRIT

Spirit can mean so many things to so many people but, in my opinion, spirit is the essence of what makes you who you are. What makes you happy, excited, inspired? What makes you feel connected in this world?

Your spirit is how you choose to show up in the world.

Yes, it's a choice and you can and should protect it. What energy do you want to live in? What energy do you want to give off?

Just like making better nutritional choices to honor your body, you can make better choices to honor your spirit. Be involved in groups and activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. Spend time with people that encourage and support your dreams and goals. Set loving but firm boundaries on people who bring you down or criticize you. I'm not saying you will never be unhappy or upset but don't let someone else's negativity become yours.

Give others grace and keep looking down your own path and make choices that are good for you regardless of what others think.

When you work with me, I will touch on mind, body, spirit and so much more. I would love to help you to reach your goals this year and make it the best year yet!

TRACY DOYLE WELLNESS Will spring ever come? Mid-winter blues, I will admit that winter is not my favorite season. I don't love the cold, and I don't enjoy winter activities. My husband says I hibernate in the winter, preferring to snuggle up next to the fireplace and read a book. It's mid-February and it seems like winter has been going on forever, especially here in Michigan where there are far more cloudy gray days than sunshine. If you live in a state that is similar you understand, the...
